The dry rehearsal of our presentation wasn't too successful - too much detail and it didn't flow nicely. We should address:
a. the current strategy and why it isn't working,
b. how much time do we have and when are the Italians most likely to attack,
c. we need the Italians to attack because we can't defeat them if they don't invade Abyssinia,
d. our options at the League of Nations,
e. where best to send our Expeditionary Force(s),
f. our strategic goals and how they can be achieved,
g. emphasize the need to keep this plan secret, if adopted.
Our team on Friday would consist of General Gort, Admiral Keyes, Admiral Muselier, Colonel van Voorhis, Lieutenant-colonel de Tassigny and myself.
