I arrived back at the HQ at ca. 1800 - it was a fairly rough flight. Luckily I don't suffer from air- or sea-sickness. I put all the documents in my safe then called Sally in London and had to tell her that I won't be able to see her much for a while unless she comes here to Saffron-Walden. Extra duties at weekends and gone for a training course for most of July - hopefully things will be back to normal in August. She said she would visit me here. Great!
I then called General Gort at home. He invited me for dinner but asked if he would allow me to get some sleep instead - granted. Spending the weekend in Lisbon is great but getting there and back....
