We arrived in Lisbon late yesterday afternoon. I chatted with Admiral Keyes for about one hour before Sally and I caught the night train to Madrid. We had a large breakfast then caught the train to Barcelona. I wanted to see the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia and I wasn't disappointed. A magnificent cathedral - I am not surprised that it took centuries to build. It's definitely different to London here. Much more uniforms on the streets, posters everywhere and many boarded-up shop windows. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant because I didn't want to be on the streets after dark. Tomorrow we travel to Toulon.
