We decided to enjoy our holidays today. Genoa is a city full of parks, palaces and other cultural attractions. While there is a large shipbuilding industry the surrounding countryside provides for flowers, wine and olive oil. We did some shopping, I bought some film, and asked about a good hotel with restaurant in the hills above the city. The hotel recommended was perfect. Fantastic food and a great view of the city below; I took some photos of the port areas. We spent the evening planning tomorrow's route. We decided not to go back to Savona, instead to drive to Turin via Alessandria and Asti.
