News of the inconclusive League Council meeting arrived in the early evening yesterday. It's a shame that news of the mustard gas incident in Asmara wasn't known until after the meeting was over. If all goes according to plan the politicians in London and Paris should be deciding the next step. It's a difficult decision that has to be made; leaving the LoN and declaring war. I hope they decide soon because we have full moon on the 12th, Thursday.
While I am writing this I have just received a coded telegram from Commander Mountbatten in Alexandria - the closing of the Suez Canal will be announced later this evening. We are at war tomorrow! I have work to do.
