The Secretary-General Joseph Avenol announced that there will be a League Council meeting on 14 September 1935 to discuss the Italo-Abyssinian conflict. It has been requested by the Kingdom of Italy. The United Kingdom and the Republic of France have already indicated that they will not be attending but will submit a joint written statement.
