Prime Minister Baldwin and members of the Defence Council approved sweeping changes within the Armed Forces. The Admiralty, Air Ministry and War Office will become subordinate commands within the Ministry of Defence. Winston Churchill will remain Secretary of Defence and head of the War Office until a candidate for the latter position is determined. TRADOC will also be subordinate to the MoD but in a coordinating role for the branches of the armed forces.
