It was an early rise again this morning and I decided to put on my Service Dress (SD) uniform to impress my mum and her neighbours. I added my service revolver to intimidate my now stepfather. It took me just over 2 hours to drive to Gravesend but I arrived just before 9 o'clock as planned. Mrs Beryl Southern, the neighbour I called yesterday, was in their front garden so I said hello and thanked her. I had to go in to say hello to the family. It's my first time in Gravesend for nine years and their daughter had grown into a really beautiful lady, she must be about 19 years old now. I warned them that I'm getting married soon and that they'll be invited to the festivities afterwards. I managed to extricate myself then went in the back door of our house and my younger brother Richard, (my half-brother), was in the kitchen. He's very much his father's son, the less said the better. Mum arrived and she was looking great. I took her bag and left for Bromley. My 'dad' was at work so I didn't see him.
Thirty minutes later we were in Bromley and picked up Sally's parents. My mum Stella and Sara, Sally's mum, were in the backseat while Isaac, (Itzak), was in the passenger seat. It was a pleasant drive but London was a bit busy. Luckily the traffic was flowing well and we arrived home just before 11:30. We have a 3-bedroom house so there was no problem with sleeping arrangements. I changed into something more casual and took mum with me to the hotel. I don't know if my dad will be there because he doesn't get involved in the activities of Vickers-Armstrong. Anyway, if he is there it will sure surprise my mum.
