Sunday was a lazy day. In the afternoon we visited John Mitchell at his new home not far from Saffron Walden. He brought me up to date on the aviation division of Vickers-Armstrong. On the way home we paid the Millers a short visit. Back at home I called Geoffrey de Havilland to hear the latest about the Mosquito and Hornet. Amazing progress there and they'll soon be introducing the Mosquito now that the Hornet didn't upset the Air Ministry too much. The Hornet still has priority though. I spent an hour or so reading the correspondence which Sally had brought home from my office(s) and by the time I had finished I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday roast. It's great to be home again. A huge surprise was that Edward and Wallis had also been invited. Home Sweet Home.
