The Vickers Type 246 monoplane, which uses the same geodetic design principles for both the fuselage and wings, was built as a private venture, first flown at Brooklands by Vickers' Chief Test Pilot J "Mutt" Summers, on 19 June 1935 and is offered to the RAF.
