The US Army Chief of Staff, General Douglas McArthur, is visiting England. After talks with Secretary Winston Churchill and the CIGS Field Marshall Montgomery-Massingberd he visited TRADOC HQ. General Gort and Brigade-General van Voorhis managed to evade telling him about the US Army's role at the AEF HQ in Toulon but he was shown the new IFV and plans for a Christie-style main battle tank. Known to be an opponent of pacifism and isolationism he openly criticized the exoneration of Italy by the League of Nation's Walwal tribunal.
