The Italian-led forces have invaded Abyssinia from the north, east and south without a formal declaration of war. In the north three main columns have been identified:
a. At the Italian left is I Army Corps from Senafi in the direction of Adrigat. b. At the Italian right is II Army Corps from Adi Quala in the direction of Adwa. c. Between these two Corps, which are ca. 60 km apart, is the Eritrean Corps - it's objective is the town of Enticcio.
The Abyssinia troops have mostly been ordered north to defend the three towns mentioned above, but there are rear-guard operations planned, especially against II Army Corps on the Abyssinian left.
From the direction of Assab, a small port at the southern end of the coastal plain there is fierce fighting reported.
In the south the border town of Dolo and other border posts are under attack. Several towns further north are being bombed by the Italian Air Force.
