Lieutenant-general Prioux orders the 92nd Reconnaissance Battalion to the Libyan border and the 71st Reconnaissance Battalion is ordered to cover the 92nd's right flank 30 km further south. The bulk the 2nd North African Infantry Division is moved to defensive positions SE of Gabes.
