The destroyer squadron and transports leave Salonika after dark and link up with battleships Kilkis and Lemnos and the cruisers Georgios Averof and Elli. Their destination is the island of Rhodos.
Meanwhile, the Greek Foreign Minister Dimitrios Maximos has arrived in Geneva and meets his British and French colleagues. Tomorrow morning they will deliver letters to the League of Nations informing the Council of their nations' decision to leave the organization. They will also inform the Italian ambassador to the League that the UK, France and Greece are declaring war on the Kingdom of Italy because of its war of conquest against Abyssinia.
