The bombardment of Italian positions around the capital Rhodos continued throughout the night. In the early morning emissaries were sent to offer a surrender of the city with honours. After two hours of negotiations, the Italians were shown photos of the Regia Marina's destruction in Italy as well as Savona and Massawa under allied control, the offer was accepted.
