The advance on Torino has been stalled by the Italian 2nd Infantry Division so the French 32d Infantry Division will be sent through the Mont Blanc tunnels. The 30th Division will be sent through the Modane tunnels to support 28th Alpine Division west of Torino. There are four divisions, (1st and 25th Motorized and the 29th and 31st Alpine), operating south of Torino from the border to Savona together with considerable extra artillery support.
Air support will concentrate on supporting the 25th Motorized Division north of Savona as well as the 27th Alpine Division north of Torino. Two fighter squadrons have been transferred to Aosta and two more to Finale Liguria. Bombers from Corsica have been fly sorties against Naples and La Maddalena on Sardinia.
