Most of the naval operations have already mentioned in other despatches. Task Force 'A' minus HMS Eagle arrived at Portsmouth in the early evening. Task Force 'G' together with HMS Eagle spent most of the day attacking airfields and ports on Sardinia and Sicily. In the early evening Taranto port and surrounding infrastructure was again bombarded.
