During the morning the 13th and 15th Infantry Brigades captured El Adem airfield and successfully surrounded the port of Tobruk. After a heavy naval bombardment a ceasefire was arranged which led to the capitulation of the Italian forces in the evening.
In the southeast there has been heavy fighting all day around the Giarabub Oasis Complex but in the evening a ceasefire was arranged. Negotiations are ongoing in Benghazi but nothing has been finalized yet. It is believed, but not confirmed, that the Libyan Governor, Italo Balbo, is there.
