The Italian forces under General Graziani formally surrendered in the morning to General Dill thus ending the one-week conflict. The non-Italian troops were disarmed and allowed to go home if they didn't want to serve in a future Somali military. The majority went home. The Italians, ca. 50,000, are being moved to tent-cities surrounded by barbed-wire and will be allowed to administer themselves as long as they remain inside the designated areas. Officers are located in a separate camp in buildings. Large quantities of supplies have been secured so the POW's have plenty of pasta.
