Before going home today, actually I was waiting for Sally to arrive from London, General Gort informed me that he would also be at the Army and Navy Club tomorrow evening. I welcomed that and said so. I'm hoping for clarification about reporting procedures. I feel uneasy about giving reports to Winston Churchill which haven't been reviewed and approved by General Gort. With all three of us in one place that can be resolved. Sally will drop me off in London then spend the night at her parents. I've reserved a room at the Dorchester and hope to meet Robert Mitchell there. I don't have to worry about Mum. Thanks to Lady Gort she has become very much involved in the local activities. I'm hoping for a quiet evening because it will be a long day tomorrow and I want to be prepared. I intend going with Sally to London in the morning. I have the umpire issue to take care of plus a discussion about SAW at the Annex.
