GEN Craig and I arrived at Warminster railway station shortly after 14:00 and we quickly located George Patton. Half the ISV's have already been loaded and the train was leaving the station. They are now waiting for the second train to arrive. George introduced us to the six troop commanders, all captains, and their troop sergeant-majors who are WO3's. To reduce the number of personnel we had only selected the troops. GEN Craig was shown around the ISV and he insisted on climbing inside one. Afterwards George received his promotion to full colonel. It was at this moment that I realized that we had two ISV regiments not batteries. An ISV troop has 4 guns and there are two troops to a battery. They've been organized as artillery not as armour. Another detail that needs changing. Also a reason for the proposed Mobile Division not to have an artillery commander. I mentioned this to GEN Craig on the way back to the HQ. I've heard rumours that there are personnel assigned to look after the horses despite the fact that they don't have horses anymore....
