Sally was with Lucy Miller waiting for us at RAF Duxford when we arrived. We first drove to 12 Catons Lane, the house that Lucy had bought while Irvine was in Salisbury. Needless to say he was overwhelmed. It really is a fine house. Shortly later the estate agent arrived and Irvine signed the necessary documents.
Sally dropped me off at 3 Raynhams before driving to London. After a shower and change of uniform I typed my mission report while eating a few sandwiches. At work I'll be busy with Irvine's report because there is no way that he can write it in English. I grabbed my typewriter, reports and more sandwiches then walked to our HQ.
P.S. While I was in Salisbury Sally bought a portable typewriter for me. A Barr Universal. Very nice.
